With the start of the 2011 outdoor tryout and practices set to start in the coming weeks, the Milwaukee County Renegades are still looking for sponsors for the upcoming season.
To operate for a full season, the Renegades need to raise a substantial amount of capital to pay for field rental, referee costs, training equipment purchases, uniforms, and league fees. The team's operating budget is roughly $15,000 for one season and the Renegades need help to raise those funds.
The Renegades offer several sponsorship packages ranging from $125 to custom packages over $15,000 to meet the needs of individual businesses and their marketing budgets. Businesses can rest assure that the Renegades will not have multiple sponsors of the same business category. That means if a business comes in as our official bar and grill sponsor, we guarantee that we will not sign on another competing business.
Although the Renegades are currently not 501(c)3 tax-exempt, the Renegades are currently working on obtaining this status and will have this exemption by the end of the season. Also, the Renegades are officially incorporated in the State of Wisconsin as a non-profit, non-stock corporation which means that according to Article 8 of our Articles of Incorporation, all sponsorships and donations are tax-exempt under the 501(c)3 classification.
Whether you are a fan, volunteer, staff member or a player for the Milwaukee County Renegades, everyone is eligible for the 10% sponsorship incentive. This incentive allows anyone that brings in sponsors to the team to receive 10% of what they bring in with no limits. Currently, the Renegades have one player that has already paid his player fees by obtaining sponsorships.
Specifically, the Renegades are seeking a uniform sponsor and an equipment sponsor. Uniform sponsorship is set at $5,000 which helps to pay for the entire cost of uniforms. In return, the Renegades will incorporate the sponsoring business logo on all of their jerseys for a period of 3 years. Although the $5,000 sponsorship has to be paid up front, this sponsorship's actual cost is $1,667 a year for 3 years.
Equipment sponsorship starts at $8,000 which helps to cover the cost of helmet and shoulder pad purchase. This equipment will be available for all of our players to use each season.
