If you've seen the Renegades play the past 2 seasons, you saw firsthand the lackluster uniforms that were worn. For the 2012 season and beyond, the Renegades will be replacing the old silver uniforms with ones that are more durable, more professional and just flat out, better looking. It's been said that players play better when they know where good looking, quality uniforms. The Renegades will be putting that to the test in 2012.
The new uniforms design has not been finalized yet, but Team President Patrick Hansen has been meeting with players to discuss what they would like to see and what they're needs are. So far, the majority have expressed a lot of interest in the black uniforms that were first proposed last season, but were unable to purchase due to financial reasons. However, there will most likely be changes to the away jerseys.
Currently, player fees were raised for the 2012 season to assure that new uniforms could be purchased and owned by each and every player. However, raising fees $125 from last season comes with many challenges. The biggest challenge will be to sign players that are willing to pay $200 plus the cost of purchasing their own equipment to play. With so many hard-working people struggling to make ends meet as it is, the Renegades will surely lose talented and dedicated players due to a lack of money.
That is why the Renegades are currently seeking donors or sponsors to come on board to help finance the new uniforms. The biggest sponsorship package is $5,000 and will cover virtually all of the proposed uniform costs (based on quotes received). This is a 3 year sponsorship that guarantees that your business' logo is placed on our website as well as embroidered on all of our uniforms (game-day and fan) for a period of 3 years.
For those that do not have thousands of dollars to give, we have set up a Google merchant account for you to donate smaller amounts towards the $5,000 goal to pay for our new uniforms and to substantially lower player fees. In recognition of your generous donation, your names will be posted on our sponsorships page as well as listed in every game-day program for the 2012 season.
With the Renegades guaranteeing to secure their 501(c)3 application in early 2012, any donations or sponsorships will be eligible for tax-exemption on your 2012 tax-returns. For the $5,000 uniform sponsorship, you will have the choice to receive a one-time $5,000 receipt or a $1,666. 67 receipt for 3 consecutive years.
