The Renegades have finally received their completed 501(c)3 application and are preparing to file. However, due to budget restraints we are unable to file at this time.
Submitting the 501(c)3 application and receiving our tax-exempt status would allow donors and sponsors to write off their generous gifts to the team for every year that they contribute to the team.
Obtaining this status will give an edge to the Renegades on obtaining sponsors and also participating in very large fundraiser's that are only granted to 501(c)3 organizations.
Currently, the Renegades need to come up with all of the $850 filing fee to submit to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Once the application has been submitted, we have been advised by the company that prepared our application and is representing us through this process that approval is guaranteed and could be received in roughly 6 weeks.
We offer a large variety of sponsorship packages for individuals and businesses with many advertising advantages. We also now offer the "Adopt a Renegade" sponsorship program and for those unable to give $500 or more, we offer packages of $25, $50, $100 and $200. This program is mainly to assist players to raise money for their individual fees, but we will currently accept these sponsorships for our 501(c)3 application.
Unlike some other teams in Wisconsin, the Renegades are already a non-profit organization that is run 100% by volunteers. Therefore, you can rest assure knowing that 100% of your sponsorship dollars goes to the team and our players and not to line someone's pockets.
